Buffs 2 for 2 in Utah
By: Cortney Kesselman, Public Relations, CU Lacrosse

Logan, UT (April 4, 2009) - The University of Colorado Men’s Lacrosse team continued their winning streak this afternoon after beating Utah State University 14-9.

After the Buffs’ big win against BYU the night before, they knew their heads had to be in their game against the Aggies.  Colorado controlled the game from start to finish, and their competitors simply could not keep up.

The team played cohesively and aggressively, taking full advantage of shot opportunities. Utah State, on the other hand, struggled to gain an advantage.  Goalie Will Brown (Gulliver Prep/ Miami, FL) made some excellent saves for the team, while Tyler Brown (Foothill/ Tustin, CA) led CU’s scoring with three goals, followed by CJ DiNardi (Berkshire/ Millstone, NJ) and Dane Mueller (Cherry Creek/ Glenwood Village, CO) each with two of their own. Brown comments: “We all worked hard. A lot of young guys got a lot of playing time and it was good for them to get that experience. I just wanted to work as hard as I could, and God willing, help the team.”

Nico Enea (De La Salle/ Danville, CA), who scored 1 goal and assisted in 3 others, adds: “We came to Utah to win and so far we’ve been able to do just that.  BYU and Utah State are both really good teams.  All we can do is work hard, play our best, and just hope that our best is better than theirs.”

The Buffs will play University of Utah tomorrow at 12pm in Draper, UT.  They will play at home again this Thursday, April 9 against Lindenwood University at 7pm on Kittredge Field.
