                                         HEAD COACH - John Galvin                             John.Galvin@colorado.edu


John Galvin is the University of Colorado Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. In his six-year tenure at CU, Galvin has led the Buffaloes to the highest MCLA rankings in school history; #3 in 2004, #5 in 2005, and #2 in 2006. The 2006 team, which featured five All-Americans, was the most successful to date, competing in the MCLA's National Championship versus intrastate rival CSU. Galvin earned Coach of the Year honors from the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference and the MCLA in 2004. He was honored with the same award by the University of Colorado Collegiate Club Sports in 2005. Galvin began his coaching career in 2003 as an Assistant Coach at Cortland State University in New York and helped coach the Red Dragons to the NCAA Division III Semifinals. In December of 2007 Coach Galvin attained a Masters of Management from Regis University.


      ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH - Peter McGraw    Peter.McGraw@colorado.edu


Peter McGraw begins his fifth season coaching the Buffaloes. Coach McGraw has 19 years of playing or coaching experience at the collegiate club level. As a graduate student at Ohio State he won a National Championship in 2002 as a player/coach in the National Collegiate Lacrosse League (NCLL). He joined the staff at Colorado from Princeton University where he was a Post Doctoral Fellow and the Head Coach of the Princeton University Lacrosse Club. At Princeton, he coached the team to the NCLL National Championship game. Dr. McGraw is an assistant professor at the Leeds School of Business. He also serves as the team's    academic coordinator.



      ASSISTANT COACH - Rick Fleenor                    RFleenor@cpbgroup.com


Rick Fleenor makes his return to Colorado Lacrosse this spring, but this will be his first endeavor at CU where he will not be wearing a jersey. Coach Fleenor played at Colorado from 2002 to 2005 as a midfield specialist. After graduating with a degree in journalism, as well as a degree in business, Rick now works for an advertising agency in Boulder. Having seen CU lacrosse grow exponentially since his playing days, coach Fleenor hopes to blend his ideals of traditional Buffs lacrosse with the team that wears the black and gold today. Glad to have him back with the program, the Buffs will look to Fleenor for offensive guidance.





      ASSISTANT COACH - Dave Leach                        Dave.Leach@colorado.edu


Dave Leach will make his collegiate-coaching debut this season with the CU Buffs. Coach Leach has 11 years of playing or coaching experience. He has been head coach and assistant coach of high school programs within Colorado, VP of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC), and has been certified by US Lacrosse and The Positive Coaching Alliance. He also started both the Colorado State-Pueblo and Western State College Men’s Lacrosse teams in 1999 and 2001, respectively, both of which are members of the MCLA. After graduating from Western State College in 2004 as a 3-time All-Conference midfielder (combined: CSU-P & WSC), with a degree in Biology, Leach currently works as a chemist in the Denver-area.



      ASSISTANT COACH - Tate Price                             PriceAT@gmail.com

Marking his official return; All-American, former team captain, and leader of a Championship run, Tate Price, rejoins the Buffs. A member of the Colorado team from 2004-2006, he was an honorary team captain during his latter two years, leading the team to the 2006 MCLA National Championship, the same year he earned All-American honors, as well as All-Conference for the 2nd straight year. Since his graduation with a degree in Political Science and History, Tate has been a member of the North Shore Indians (Senior B - BCLA) in Vancouver in 2007, and for the Coquitlam Adanacs (Senior A - WLA) in British Columbia in 2008. Coach Price, joins the staff of '09 to instruct the defense.
